Even after the original loses its manifest and is re-saved as JPEG q70, this tries to recover where it came from. When a step fails, it shows only No verdict and never guesses a match.
The sample is /xmse-demo/life-photo.png — a photo with no manifest or watermark, listed only in the PDQ registry. Steps 1 and 2 give no verdict; step 3 (registry) recovers it.

Diagnosis · not a verdict
Add a file and it is read in two columns: signature · content. This is not a PASS/FAIL checker. It is a diagnosis engine that first shows what is missing (deficiencies).
T1 (manifest · signature): the in-browser WASM check never sends your file to the server. T2 · T3 uploads are processed only after you agree, then deleted at once.
